Bear in mind though, that the UK narrow canals only make up a small portion of the inland waterways of Europe. Even the UK has a sizeable area of larger inland waterways that are frequented by fibre-glass <BR/>(including hire)boats. It's made of plywood. Most narrow boats are made of steel and are very long and heavy. Since they are frequently hired out to inexperienced skippers they often crash them.
